British rockers SkyQuaker have been busy! With their debut single "Queen Kong" only being released 5 months ago, they delivered me their impressive follow-up single "Thank God for Rock and Roll" in record time.

With me being busy with other projects, this track was recorded, mixed and produced by the mighty George McFarlane (Paisley Park), at Echo 7 Recording Studios in Surrey and he did an absolutely astounding job. Due to the mix bring so carefully considered and complete, the master took me about half a day, which is record time!

I hope you will join in celebrating the band’s sentiment of gratitude; remembrance; and the spreading joy and appreciation through the art of rock and roll in these dark times.

In a similar spirit to Queen Kong, Thank God for Rock and Roll yet again took on an incredibly collaborative approach in terms of musicianship and the production team!

Michael W. Bell is an award-winning film music composer, ambient sound designer, sound engineer, record producer, and the CEO/Founder of Aurora Eclipse Productions Ltd. He has composed music and designed sound for a number of films, trailers, TV shows, documentaries, animations, commercials, companies, and more. In addition to his music work, he has produced and released records for a number of independent artists.

As a lifelong enthusiast in immersive sound and multidimensional art forms, Michael is currently interested to learn what potential we now have as musicians and producers to utilise Dolby Atmos from our personal computers, without the need for expensive monitoring systems and large spaces.

When not composing or producing music, Mike enjoys lecturing at the University of Northampton leading students through industry and production modules.
