Sep 12 Single Release, "Afterburning"...

Some of you may have caught my blog from a couple of months ago where I said I had completed a remix/cover of the After Burner II soundtrack. Well, I decided to release it!

Afterburning marks the 17th release by Aurora Eclipse Productions Ltd

The track is available to buy direct from AEPL via the Website or Bandcamp and is on all streaming platforms worldwide including Spotify.

For those who have no idea what After Burner II is, well here’san excerpt from Wikipedia, “After Burner II is an arcade-style flight game released by Sega in October 1987.[1] It is the second game in the After Burner series. In the game, players fly an F-14 Tomcat jet fighter, gunning down enemies while avoiding incoming fire. After Burner II came both a standard arcade cabinet and a servo actuated, sit-down version which moved according to the motion of the plane onscreen. The cockpit would bank in the same direction the on-screen aircraft was banking.”

Michael W. Bell is an award-winning film music composer, ambient sound designer, sound engineer, record producer, and the CEO/Founder of Aurora Eclipse Productions Ltd. He has composed music and designed sound for a number of films, trailers, TV shows, documentaries, animations, commercials, companies, and more. In addition to his music work, he has produced and released records for a number of independent artists.

As a lifelong enthusiast in immersive sound and multidimensional art forms, Michael is currently interested to learn what potential we now have as musicians and producers to utilise Dolby Atmos from our personal computers, without the need for expensive monitoring systems and large spaces.

When not composing or producing music, Mike enjoys lecturing at the University of Northampton leading students through industry and production modules.
